UNOFFICIAL POLL
Sorry folks no unofficial competition this month as the Editor spent all the prize money- all 50p- at the new Arsenal shop!! (Only joking).
This month is the unofficial poll.
Which of these books comes under the ‘I would rather support Tottenham than buy/read this book’ category?
A) The Wild And Wacky World Of Watching Grass Grow - Author Theresa Green
B) Decorating The Whole House Can Be So Much Fun - Author Walt Paper
C) My Defence - Author A Cole
Please send your answer, and any spare change you might have, to:
The Fund For Current Really Underpaid Defenders (CRUD), The Team That Plays In Blue, Offshore Banking, The Caymen Islands.
THE MONTH IN MOMENTS
Sep 9- Middlesbrough (H) 1-1
One shot on goal they get, and they score!! Like a rash we are all over them, but it is all plan ’A’ , with more screaming of ’shoot’ from the crowd. Eventually the luck goes our way, and a lovely Henry penalty gets us a draw.
Sep 13th- Hamburg (A) 2-1
The perfect start with their goalie being sent off (a bit dodgy!), an early goal, and looking in control. Hamburg are still looking threatening until an absolute screamer from Rosicky puts us two up. Even then they looked as though they would get back into the game, and their late goal made it a tense last few minutes.
Sep 17th- Man Utd (A) 1-0
What a great game, and what a difference. Come on who thought it wasn’t going to be our day when Gilberto slipped taking the penalty? We were allowed to play our game, the 4-5-1 system looked good, and we were dominant. The Lehmann save at the end has to go down as the save of the season!!
Sep 23rd- Sheffield Utd (H) 3-0
Back to the nervy plan A only approach in the first half, and give the opposition their due they try to have a bit of a go as well. Come the second half a different story as we seemed to find a slightly alternative approach, and then the goals came, including a rare Henry header!!
Sep 26th- Porto (H) 2-0
I would say our best home game by far. Totally dominant, we hardly gave the opposition a sniff, and two excellent goals, including another Henry header!! Gallas is looking awesome, and hope his injury is not to bad.
Sep 30th- Charlton (A) 2-1
What a game, and what a goal!! We were dominant, but could have conceded a couple more as well. Some praise has to go to Eboue, who might not be the best defender in the world, but he is certainly learning how to cross a ball!!
NEWSLETTER
Next months newsletter will be out slightly later as the Editor is going away for a well earned holiday (lying down in a darkened room for a couple of weeks!!).Also in the next issue there will be details of feedback we have from Arsenal regarding possible improvements to the new stadium/ticketing arrangements
